Funeral Starts For 300 Martyrs of Iraqi-Imposed War

TEHRAN, July 11 (Mehr News Agency) -- Remains of some 300 Iranian soldiers martyred in the Iraqi-imposed war(I980-88) were placed in Tehran's Grand Mosalla (prayer ground) Thursday evening for a three-night mourning vigil.

The ceremony is concurrent with the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (AS), the beloved daughter of Prophet Mohamed (PBUH).

Also, bodies of Iranian twins Laleh and Ladan Bijani were placed among the martyrs at the Thursday night mourning ceremony.

The Bijanis were flown to Fars on Friday morning for burial in Iran after a separation surgery on the 29-year-old conjoined twins in Singapore last Tuesday failed to give them normal life.
